“It’s like being in the All-State Choir every single day!” said one member of the Hastings College Choir, our flagship mixed-voice ensemble — and it’s true!
The Hastings College Choir
Since 1882, the Hastings College Choir has served as an ambassador for choral music, blending a rigorous a cappella tradition with modern musical adventure.
As one of the oldest collegiate ensembles in the United States, the Choir has spent more than a century touring the the Midwest and beyond, earning a reputation for technical precision and emotional depth.
Today, housed within an All-Steinway School, the ensemble continues to bridge the gap between sacred masterworks and global contemporary repertoire. Whether performing the timeless strains of Handel’s Messiah or premiering new works from international composers, the Hastings College Choir remains a creative force dedicated to excellence, community and the transformative power of song.
Membership in The Hastings College Choir is open to all students by audition, which is held during the first week of classes each semester. Check out a playlist on YouTube.
