In recognition of your ability, potential and willingness to share with the campus community, Hastings College offers numerous “plus one” scholarships. This is a great way to help pay for college while having a fulfilling college experience and doing something you enjoy!

Scholarship Timeline

While we accept scholarship applications year round, for best consideration, we recommend you:

  • Complete your admissions application by February 15, and
  • Meet talent scholarship requirements, such as an audition or other requirement, by March 15.

Hastings College Plus One Scholarship Areas

All students, regardless of major/minor are eligible for an art scholarship. Non-majors earn the scholarship by participating in art activities and taking at least one art class per semester.  We’d love to arrange a time to view your portfolio! Does your creativity flow through you into the written word? Our Creative Writing scholarship may be for you! To be eligible, you must be an English major or minor,  a writing minor or an English education major.

Our co-ed esports team competes at the varsity level in several games, which are chosen based on the interests of team members. Let us know you’re interested in an Esports scholarship at Hastings and we’ll get in touch!

The Sports Management Internship Program at Hastings College is ideal for students looking to be involved in athletics and work directly with student athletes on holistic development. You’ll gain experience and grow leadership skills as you develop the expertise that supports all facets of a healthy athletic department — from managing athletic events to coaching drills — all while you earn a scholarship to help pay for college!

The Hastings College Center for Applied Media Arts offers scholarships for participating in everything from supporting Bronco athletics livestreams to producing the campus newspaper to managing a website to photography and design. If media “has you covered,” let us know! 

Whether you love playing in the band or singing in choir, you’ll find music scholarship opportunities at Hastings College! All students who participate in band, choir and other musical activities are eligible. And a great thing about music at Hastings, is that participating fits perfectly into a typical college schedule.

Our speech team is one of the best in the country! Speech, known as forensics in college, is competitive and fun – and helps develop communication skills you’ll use your entire career.

Producing four to five full productions a year takes a lot of talented students like you! Theatre majors and minors are eligible for scholarships, but so are those who participate in theatre. “Participate” includes acting on stage, writing original scripts, directing, creating costumes, designing sets and lighting — and more.
