Campus Life for Upper Classes

Sophomores, juniors and seniors who meet certain requirements can apply to live in college houses. Some juniors and seniors continue to live in the residence halls or college houses, but most live in Bronco Village Apartments.

Bronco Village Apartments (BVA)
To live in the on-campus apartments, you’ll need to have been in college for four semesters and be a junior or senior. Non-traditional students who are close to 21 year old are also allowed to live in the apartments even if they not juniors or seniors.

College Houses
Age and good behavior have their benefits! Sophomores, juniors and seniors with a GPA of 3.25 or higher can apply to live in college houses. When considering applications to college houses, the College gives preference to students who have demonstrated campus leadership and involvement and maintained records of good conduct in the residence halls or apartments.

Residency Requirement

All first-year, sophomore and junior full time students are required to live on campus a total of six semesters. There are limited exceptions, such as students who reside with their parent or legal guardian in their primary residence within 30 miles of Hastings, Nebraska, for the entire academic year. Additional details can be found in the student handbook.
