The annual Hastings College Mural Competition is a day of artistic creation, collaboration and competition for high school students in the beautiful Jackson Dinsdale Art Center (JDAC).

The sixth annual event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

Each school’s art team can consist of 2 to 6 most promising art students who will compete against other schools by painting a 46” x 76” vinyl mural according to the theme announced at the beginning of the competition.

Registration is due August 27! Only one team per school — and 35 schools maximum. So register early!

NOTE: We have reached capacity for this event so registration is closed.

In addition to the competition portion of the day, Hastings College provides lunch and tours of the JDAC with the opportunity to see Hastings College students at work on projects throughout the building. The day concludes with our judge’s comments and a short awards ceremony.
