The 1882 Residence Hall

The 1882 is an incredible new four-story co-ed residence hall that features a combination of four- and two-bedroom units and studio-style rooms.

The hall, which will house more than 300 students, is currently under construction and will open in the fall of 2026. (Follow construction progress here.)

Like in all our halls, residents of The 1882 will participate in the fine arts, athletics and many other on-campus activities — it’ll be a true snapshot of everything Hastings College.

Since the dorm will be full of so many students from different areas and with different interests, you’ll find friends with common values involved in activities similar to you.

The 1882 amenities include:

• Furnished living room
• Furnished private bedroom (includes a bed, dresser, desk, chair and closet)
• In-suite kitchenette with microwave, sink and full-size refrigerator
• Wired and wireless internet
• Covered bike racks

• Three shared laundry rooms

Note: Beds are extra-long twin (36 inches by 80 inches)
