Eating well shouldn’t be complicated, and it definitely shouldn’t mean settling for boring. Whether you have an hour to sink into a booth with friends or a few minutes to grab a hot sandwich before lab, you’ve got real options in Hazelrigg Student Union (HSU).
Hastings Dining Hall
Our main dining space — the caf — serves up fresh, balanced meals every single day.
The Specialty Bar: The undisputed crowd favorite. Build your own tacos, custom pasta, hoagies, stir-fry or fresh-baked pizza. It rotates every day of the week.
The Essentials: A fully stocked salad bar, a grill for burgers, chicken and fries, and an ever-changing dessert station (and yes, a soft-serve machine).
Real Connection at the Table: At lunch when the caf is buzzing, you’ll see professors, coaches, deans and the College president. It’s the easiest place on campus to talk about last night’s game, dissect a lecture or just catch up.
Dine In or Carry Out: Share a table with your crew, or use a meal swipe to fill a reusable container when you need to hit the road.
Bronco Blend Coffee Shop
Located right in the HSU lobby, the Bronco Blend is your go-to hub for caffeine hits, quick breakfasts, to-go lunch and smoothies — plus snacks and other sundries.
Grab-and-Go Swipes: Running late? Use a meal swipe for a quick food-and-drink combo for breakfast or lunch.
The View: Grab an iced latte or snack and claim a study spot overlooking the Japanese Garden. It’s a great spot on campus to clear your head.

Breakfast: 7:30 – 10:00 a.m.
Lunch: 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Dinner: 5:00 – 7:45 p.m. (7:00 p.m. Fridays)
Saturday and Sunday
Continental breakfast: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
Brunch: 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Dinner: 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

All Access Plan
The Hastings College Dining All Access Plan serves up to 19 meals per week. You have one meal swipe per dining period — and you can eat in the cafeteria or use your swipe in the Bronco Blend for up to $9 in food and drinks! The All Access Plan is required for first and second year students, plus all students in residence halls
Junior, Senior, Commuter Plan
The Junior, Senior, Commuter Plan allows you to select how many meals you’d like per semester: 80, 120 or 160 meals. You can use one of your meal swipes per dining period — in the cafeteria or in the Bronco Blend for up to $9 in food and drinks! This plan is available to juniors and seniors not living in residence halls, or commuter students. It allows you to set how many meals you’d like to have — and makes it simple to grab a meal between classes during a busy day or eat healthy with your teammates and friends.
Notes
- Your Hastings College ID card provides your meal access, and you’ll need it at each visit.
- Your meal plan is only for you and is not transferable.
- Plans are limited to one meal swipe per meal period.
