- Qualify for a Crimson or McCormick academic scholarship (enter your GPA and test scores in our scholarship calculator to see if you qualify)
- Complete the Bronco Scholars Day registration form.
Note – In the case of inclement weather, the event will be held Sunday, March 1.
Additional scholarship amounts are based on:
- Participation during Bronco Scholars Day
- Expected academic and leadership contributions to Hastings College
Scholarship winners will be notified before February 28, 2020.
This new Hastings College program for high achieving high school students funded by the Suzanne and Walter Scott Foundation of Omaha allows seven incoming students each year to receive a renewable scholarship that covers 100 percent of tuition and fees plus room and board — plus a $2,000 travel stipend to help cover costs to attend a conference, fund a research project or support an internship.
In addition to Scott Scholars, other scholarships will be awarded to select participants.
What happens during Bronco Scholars Day?
The day begins at 1:00 p.m. with checkin, and will wrap up about 4:30 p.m.
During the afternoon you’ll have the opportunity to complete two small group interviews, which are a great way to meet our faculty and other students who have an interest in Hastings College. We’ll also have a professional facilitator conduct a fun, high energy group leadership activity. Previous scholars have indicated this is the highlight of the day!
We’ll have information sessions for parents and families, plus hospitality areas where they can relax and enjoy refreshments.
The day concludes with a reception for family, scholars and faculty with campus tours available upon request.
