Bronco Scholars Day
This is your chance to compete for a full tuition, fees and room & board scholarship!
Students who have received a Crimson or Ambassador academic merit scholarship from Hastings College may compete at Bronco Scholars Day on Sunday, February 14, 2021, for additional scholarship awards — including being named a Scott Scholar, which covers full tuition, fees and room and board!
The 2021 event will happen all online via Zoom.
To qualify, high school seniors must do the following by February 3, 2021:
- Apply to Hastings College and complete all admissions requirements, including submission of your high school transcript
- Qualify for a Crimson or Ambassador academic scholarship as determined by your high school GPA
- Complete the Bronco Scholars Day registration form (available soon!)
Additional scholarship amounts are based on:
- Participation during Bronco Scholars Day
- Expected academic and leadership contributions to Hastings College
Scholarship winners will be notified before February 28, 2021.
This Hastings College Scott Scholars Program for high achieving high school students is funded by the Suzanne and Walter Scott Foundation of Omaha allows seven incoming students each year to receive a renewable scholarship that covers 100 percent of tuition and fees plus room and board — plus a $2,000 travel stipend to help cover costs to attend a conference, fund a research project or support an internship.
In addition to Scott Scholars, other scholarships will be awarded to select participants.
What happens during Bronco Scholars Day?
The 2021 Bronco Scholars Day will happen online via Zoom — and includes a special opportunity for participating students interact with current Scott Scholars.
Saturday, February 13, 2021 (optional)
4:00pm — Meet with current Scott Scholars to learn about campus life and what to expect during the interview process. This is a great time to ask questions!
Sunday, February 14, 2021
1:00-3:05pm — Interviews for Flight A
3:30-5:35pm — Interviews for Flight B
Both sessions include an introduction and welcome, followed by an interview session, a break and then a second interview session. One interview session will be a discussion-style conversation, while the other will be an individual response style.
7:00pm – Parent/Guardian Q&A
This is a great time for parents/guardians to learn more about Hastings College and what this school has to offer their students. Questions can be directed to Admissions and Student Engagement staffs, as well as current Hastings College students.
