There are several grant opportunities that may apply to you or your situation. Some grants are funded by Hastings College, while others are funded at the state or federal level.

Hastings College Grants

Need-Based Grant

When disbursing need-based grants, Hastings College considers your demonstrated  financial need — based on FAFSA results — and your personal and family circumstances.

Legacy Grant

If you note on your application that you have a sibling currently attending Hastings College or that your parents, siblings or grandparents graduated Hastings College, you can receive this $1,000 grant.

Campus Employment

To help you cover your college expenses, we also offer a limited number of part-time employment opportunities. On-campus jobs are assigned to new students based on demonstrated need and a desire to work. You must note your interest in securing on-campus employment in your application.

Federal and State Grants

Federal Pell Grants »
Available to undergraduate students with significant financial need, Federal Pell Grants are disbursed based on the results of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Unlike federal loans, you do not need to repay Federal Pell Grants.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG) »
Available to students with exceptional financial need, FSEOG are distributed by the institution based on need and funding availability. The results of your FAFSA determine your eligibility.

Nebraska Opportunity Grants »
These grants are available to Nebraska students attending postsecondary institutions in Nebraska. Your eligibility for these grants is based on the results of your FAFSA.

TEACH Grant »
This is a federal grant that is not dependent on financial need. Students must complete the Department of Education’s Agreement to Serve and Entrance Counseling annually and be admitted into Hastings College’s Teacher Education Program.
