Peters returns to Hastings College as Associate Vice President

Dan Peters has been appointed to serve as the Associate Vice President and Interim Chief of Student Affairs effective October 1, 2014. His appointment follows the departure of Vice President for Student Affairs Dr. Gilbert Hinga in mid-August.

A 2002 Hastings College graduate, Peters served as the College’s Registrar & Director of Academic Advising from 2007-2012 and Director of Alumni Development from 2003-2007. During his time as Registrar, he assisted the Student Affairs Office with the advising program and helped to implement a robust retention tracking system. “I have great confidence in Dan’s ability to represent and work with our students during this year of transition and beyond,” said Don Jackson ’70, President of Hastings College.

Most recently, Peters served as an Executive Account Advisor for Credit Management in Grand Island. He earned a Masters of Arts in Management degree from Doane College in 2007.
