Hastings College noted as a great school at a great price by US News and World Report

us news graphicA great school at a great price. That’s how Hastings College has been described in the 2016 U.S. News and World Report Best College Rankings released on September 9, 2015. Hastings is the only college in the state to receive the coveted “Great Schools, Great Price” distinction.

“What distinguishes Hastings College from other institutions is how our outstanding faculty welcome students with solid academic backgrounds and then take them to a new level — frequently an academic level the students didn’t think was possible,” said Hastings College President Don Jackson ’70. “That educational process of going to the next level, delivered through classroom teaching, personal attention and deliberate mentoring, is where students and their parents will find the true value of a Hastings College education.”

In the category of regional colleges in the Midwest, Hastings College is #14, up from #18 in the publication’s 2015 rankings.

“We’re feeling strong about the year ahead thanks not only to national recognition from U.S. News and World Report, Washington Monthly and Money, but also from the Higher Learning Commission’s reaffirmation of our accreditation,” said Dr. Gary Johnson, Vice President for Academic Affairs. “We hope prospective students and their parents will take the time to get to know Hastings College better and the value we can provide as the students continue their education.”

In August, Washington Monthly released its 2015 College Rankings in which Hastings College is recognized as 26th out of 344 colleges while MONEY named Hastings among the country’s 50 most affordable private colleges.
