Hastings College 2025 Homecoming court announced

It’s Homecoming week at Hastings College, and 10 members of the junior class have been selected by the student body to be part of the Homecoming Court. Homecoming Royalty, the top two vote recipients among members of the Court, will be announced during the student Homecoming dinner the evening of Friday, September 26.

Community and public events for Homecoming, including the Melody Round-Up Parade on Saturday, September 27, were announced last week.

Members of the Homecoming Court include:

Jaedyn Adler is a wildlife biology major from Greeley, Colorado. The Dean’s List student is a leader for CRU, president of TriBeta, and involved in FCA and the shotgun sports team. He also works with Dr. Jason Carbaugh on research. The resident assistant is involved in a multitude of service and volunteer projects and programs.

Rivers Bergen is an art education major from Sutton, Nebraska. She is involved in the CRU Sisterhood Bible study, the Jackson Scholars Ambassadors program, and has served for the Hastings Literacy program.

Maggie deFreese is a music education and oboe performance major from Holdrege, Nebraska. She is vice president of Sigma Alpha Iota, secretary of Alpha Psi Omega (APO), a drum major of the Bronco Marching Band and music director for the APO show Trail to Oregon. She is also in Alpha Chi, the Nebraska Association for Music Education and is a campus tour guide.

Grace Dow is a biology major from Aurora, Colorado. The Dean’s List student is a member of the women’s track and field team, the women’s cross country team and a resident assistant. She is active in Food4Thought, volunteers at The Zone and was a NAIA Champion of Character for cross country.

Victoria Harris is a communications and English major from Houston, Texas. The Dean’s List student is a member of the women’s tennis team, student association, Sigma Tau Delta, CAMA, the Collegian and is president of Lambda Pi Eta.

Sophia Lee is a wildlife biology major from Los Angeles, California. She is a part of the women’s soccer team, Alpha Chi and the association of student athletes. She’s also a resident assistant and a tour guide. The Dean’s List student interned in Japan this past summer for a research project on a portable medical device.

Victoria Mallory is a political science major from Westminster, Colorado. The Dean’s List student is a member of the women’s basketball team, works for Career Services and is a resident assistant.

Lucy Reid is a math major with an emphasis in pre-actuarial science from Omaha, Nebraska. The Dean’s List student is a part of Scott Scholars program, the Hastings College Choir, the entertainment committee of the Student Association and the Student Insights Panel. Reid is also a Studio 200 tutor and interns at Ellerbrock-Norris.

Langley Riha is a business administration major from Gretna, Nebraska. She is involved on the women’s soccer team, captain of the women’s bowling team, Chi Omega and the Student Insights panel. The Dean’s List student is a student senator; NAIA scholar athlete; member of Lambda Pi Eta, the communications honor society; and volunteers for the Special Olympics.

Kailani Smile is an English and history and philosophy major from Monterey, California. The GPAC scholar is a part of the women’s soccer team, Model UN, Sigma Tau Delta, a Studio 200 tutor and participated in Academic Showcase with a research project titled “But What About Women?”
