The Presbytery of Central Nebraska is meeting at Hastings College this weekend. As part of the meeting, a worship service that is open to the public will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, in French Memorial Chapel.
The Rev. Shavon Starling-Louis, co-moderator of the 225th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), will preach and lead worship. Joining for the service will be the Hastings College Choir and a student saxophones group.
Starling-Louis was co-moderator for the assembly with Rev. Ruth Faith Santana-Grace. The moderator, or co-moderators when elected as such, serve as an ambassador of the unity of the Spirit in the bonds of peace, telling the story of the church’s life and upholding the people of God through prayer during the period between assemblies. They serve as co-moderators until 2024.
