Bronco Forensics takes first place at state competition

At the 2016 Nebraska Intercollegiate Forensics Association (NIFA) tournament held in Crete, Nebraska, on February 13, 2016, the Hastings College Bronco Forensics team took first place in Division II. Additionally, senior Eunice Adounkpe from Omaha, Nebraska, earned the Spirit of NIFA Award for excellence in and beyond competitive public speaking.

Trischia Rueckert, a senior from Hutchinson, Kansas: 5th Place, Impromptu Speaking

Eunice Adounkpe, a senior from Omaha, Nebraska: 6th Place, Program of Oral Interpretation; 6th Place, Dramatic Interpretation

Kenzie Shofner, a sophomore from Maple Plain, Minnesota: 4th Place, Oratory

Caleb Merritt, a sophomore from Brookings, South Dakota: 2nd Place, Dramatic Interpretation;

Andrew Boge, a sophomore from Johnston, Iowa: 3rd Place, Communication Analysis; 3rd Place, Informative Speaking; 4th Place, After Dinner Speaking; 7th Place, Extemporaneous Speaking;

Carly Spotts-Falzone, a freshman from Wayzata, Minnesota: 4th Place, Informative Speaking

Austin Heinlein, a freshman from Hutchinson, Kansas: 7th Place, Dramatic Interpretation
