Academic honorary inducts 13 Hastings College students

The Hastings College chapter of the Alpha Chi Academic Honorary inducted 13 students on October 4, 2015, at a ceremony in Hazelrigg Student Union. Qualifications for membership include being a student of good character and in the top 10 percent of one’s class.

This semester’s inductees include the following:

Emilie Rae Barnes, an English major from Omaha, Nebraska

Kelly J. Boshart, a middle school math and science education major from Wood River, Nebraska

Jordan Colony, a sociology, history and English major from Omaha, Nebraska

Paxton C. Fiala, an exercise science major from Ainsworth, Nebraska

Jake Fowler, a biology major from Hastings, Nebraska

Mallory Gruben, a journalism major from Eckley, Colorado

Megan Korb, an elementary and K-12 special education major from Sutton, Nebraska

Cody Jack Newlun, a physics major from Hastings, Nebraska

Sean Charles Selko, a chemistry major from Hastings, Nebraska

Laurel Kay Teal, a history and political science major from Castle Rock, Colorado
