Simon Thiel graduated from Hastings College in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He earned his master’s degree in international economics and finance from Brandeis University.  Thiel is a Managing Director in investment banking for UBS in New York City where he leads the insurance practice for the Americas. Andrew Vrbas, a 2012 graduate of Hastings College, is originally from Atwood, KS. After spending time in Peru, South America, during his sophomore year at HC, Andrew had a vision to create a company that would create sustainable businesses in developing countries. He and his wife, Abigail (Burrows) Vrbas ‘13, started Pacha together. Today, Pacha
