Senior Political Science major Alexis Ferguson knew from a very young age that politics is where she wanted to be. Her focus landed on policy, listening to the voices of the people at the local level is where she felt she could make the most impact. With the support and guidance from her professors, Alexis feels ready to take on her internship at the Denver Mayor’s Office with Mayor Michael Hancock, a 1991 graduate of Hastings College.
