Path to HC
Tuition costs are covered through the Path to HC scholarship program for students who meet academic qualifications, are Pell Grant–eligible and have a family income of $65,000 or less (adjusted gross income/AGI).

Who’s eligible?
Path to HC covers 100% of tuition for those who qualify. You’ll qualify if:
- You’re a first-time, first-year college student who lives in Nebraska or Colorado.
- You have a high school GPA of 2.65 or higher when you graduate.
- You’re eligible for a Pell Grant and have a family AGI of $65,000 or less (as identified on the FAFSA).
How to apply
Applying for the Path to HC program is simple!
- Apply to Hastings College when you’re a high school senior
- Complete the FAFSA and send us your results (just add our school code — 002548)
Once we have your application and FAFSA information, your admissions counselor will be in touch.
tHow it works
For students living on campus, Path to HC covers 100% of tuition costs through federal, state and Hastings College aid.
What about other expenses? You can use outside scholarships, family resources, part time job income and federal student loans to pay for your room, meal plan, general fees and books.
Commuters: Students who live within 30 miles of campus may be able to live at home. For these, the cost for the entire first year is just $3,500 plus general student fees. Outside scholarships, family resources, a part time job and federal student loans to pay this and other expenses, such books. This cost goes up $1,000 in year two and $2,000 in years three and four.
Does Path to HC renew?
Yes! You can keep Path to HC while you’re at Hastings College provided you:
- Complete the FAFSA each year and remain eligible for a Pell Grant and have a family AGI of $65,000 or less.
- Stay a full-time student (taking at least 12 credit hours per semester).
- Maintain a college GPA of 2.0 or higher.
