Students, faculty recognized at 2023 Honors Convocation 

During Hastings College’s Honors Convocation April 26, 2023, students and faculty were recognized for their outstanding achievements.

The Don and Nancy Seaton Faculty Achievement Award was presented to history professor Dr. Rob Babcock, and Dr. Rachael Robinson-Keilig, assistant professor of psychology, received the Vondrak Outstanding Advisor Award. George Ayoub, Studio 200 academic support staff and adjunct professor, received the Anderson Mentoring and Advising Award, which is presented to an employee who has advised, mentored or made a significant difference in the life of a Hastings College student.

Members of the academic honorary Alpha Chi selected Dr. Amy Black, professor of economics, as the Alpha Chi Outstanding Faculty.

Dr. Brian Corr, assistant professor of art, and Dr. Rhesa Ledbetter, assistant professor of biology, were elected through a joint faculty and student vote to present the 2023-24 Invited Faculty Lectures on the subject of their choice. Invited Faculty Lectures began in 1967 and are the highest and longest-standing faculty honor at Hastings College.
