Recital celebrating Hispanic culture, music set for February 17

A recital celebrating Hispanic culture and music will take place Friday, February 17 at 6:30 pm in Perkins Auditorium in the Fuhr Hall of Music (723 E. 9th Street) on the campus of Hastings College. The event is hosted by the Hastings College Music Department and is free and open to the public.

Hastings College music students will present solos and small ensembles in a variety of musical styles and from a broad spectrum of countries of origin.

The student-led Hastings College Mariachi Carmesi Y Blanco (Mariachi Crimson and White) will perform, along with a guest marimba conjunto from Grand Island, Nebraska, led by Antonio Dominguez, father of Hastings College student Alex Dominguez.
