Vargas to set the scene through lecture on scenic design

Annette Vargas, Assistant Professor of Theatre, will discuss the intersection of scenic design in various fields in the Spring 2016 Artist Lecture Series Invited Faculty Lecture. Her address, entitled “Creating Imagined Spaces: Scenic Design in Theatre, Film & Special Events,” is scheduled for Friday, March 11 at 10 a.m. in French Memorial Chapel (800 N. Turner Ave.) The event is free and open to the public.

Each spring, Hastings College students select two faculty members to present campus-wide lectures on the professors’ topics of choice during the next academic year. To be selected is considered an honor by the faculty. In Fall 2015, Dr. Laura Logan, Assistant Professor of Sociology, presented an Artist Lecture Series Invited Faculty Lecture on her street harassment research.
