Hastings College to host Jackson Dinsdale Art Center mural competition for high school students

Hastings College will host 130 high school students from across central Nebraska for the inaugural Jackson Dinsdale Art Center Mural Competition on Wednesday, September 28.

High school students will create 4 ft. x 8 ft. murals using paint, which will then be judged by Hastings College senior art majors. The top three murals will be awarded custom glass art pieces created by Art Professor Tom Kreager.  At the conclusion of the event, schools will be allowed to take the murals to hang in their high schools.

When: Wednesday, September 28

Time: 9:00am-3:00pm; painting is 9:30 to 11:45am (best time for photos/video); awards are at 1:30
