Hastings College sets MLK Day celebrations

Hastings College has scheduled several activities as part of its Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration on Monday, January 15, 2018. All events are free and open to the public.

To facilitate opportunities for students and faculty to participate, morning January Term (J-Term) classes will meet from 9:00 to 10:20 a.m. that day, while afternoon J-Term classes will meet from 10:30 to 11:50 a.m.

Join as we celebrate the memory and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. with a special message by Jose Jimenez ’14.

Community Prayer Walk – depart from French Chapel

Reflection and Conversation – HSU rooms A&B
Join members of the Hastings College Broncos Forensics team as they present pieces relevant to the work of Dr. King. Members of the campus community can also share their stories, hopes and inspirations.
Refreshments will be available.

6:00 pm
Food 4 Thought packing – HSU lobby
Honor the spirit of Dr. King by volunteering to help pack meals for elementary children in Hastings Public Schools who may have limited access to food.
