Hastings College Forensics completes fall season with third place finish

Strong performances by Tommy Hendrix, a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, helped the Hastings College Bronco Forensics team finish third overall at the 2014 Outer Limits Swing tournament hosted by the University of Nebraska-Kearney on December 6-7, 2014.

On the first day of competition, Hendrix took second in the individual sweepstakes thanks to solid finishes in Dramatic Interpretation, Informative Speaking and Poetry Interpretation. On the second day, he placed first in individual sweepstakes.

Eunice Adounkpe, a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, qualified an additional event for the American Forensics Association National Individual Events Tournament (AFA-NIET) with a first place finish in Prose Interpretation.

The team will break for the holiday season and return to competition in January for the Hell Froze Over National Showcase Tournament co-hosted by Bradley University and University of Texas-Austin.
