Hastings College announces endowed professorships, lectureship

Dr. Wayne Riggs, Hastings College vice president of academic affairs and dean of the faculty, has announced faculty who have been selected for distinguished professorships and lectureship for the 2025 to 2028 academic years.

Endowed professorships and lectureships are one of the highest marks of distinction at the College and signify excellence in teaching and scholarship in a particular field. Hastings College is privileged to have nine such positions, eight of which were eligible for selection this year.

“We are excited about the ongoing contributions of these faculty, and look forward to witnessing how they will utilize the distinction and the resources associated with their positions,” Riggs said.

At Hastings College, these positions are for a three year term that may be renewed. They are supported through endowments established by generous donors who wanted to ensure the existence of faculty lines in particular academic disciplines.

Individuals who are interested in making a contribution or supporting an endowed faculty position are welcome to contact Hastings College Foundation at 402.462.7363 or alumni@hastings.edu.
