Hastings College continues high ranking as regional college

Hastings College continues to be viewed highly by organizations that rank colleges and universities across the country. Today, U.S. News and World Report released its rankings, and placed Hastings College 17th out of 165 schools on its “Best Regional Colleges” list for the Midwest region.

The publication also ranked Hastings College 16th on it’s “Great Schools, Great Prices” list for regional colleges.

The “Great Schools, Great Prices” – or best value – ranking takes into account a school’s academic quality, based on the Best Colleges ranking and the net cost of attendance for a student who received the average level of need-based financial aid. U.S. News said only schools in the top half of its ranking categories are included because it considers the most significant values to be among colleges that perform well academically.

“Every day at Hastings College I have the joy of seeing students working closely with professors, growing academically and excelling, really, beyond their expectations. Being recognized for providing this high touch, high quality education for students while maintaining a high ranking as a value school demonstrates the importance we place in making Hastings College and the Hastings experience accessible to more students,” said Hastings College President Dr. Travis Feezell.

For the Best Colleges list, the rankings are selected by reviewing schools that focus on the undergraduate experience and offer a broad range of programs in the liberal arts, business, nursing and education. Rankings are determined by a number of factors, including class sizes, peer assessment scores, retention rate and a student/faculty ratio.

Hastings College is a private, four-year institution located in Hastings, Nebraska, that focuses on student academic and extracurricular achievement. With more than 60 majors and 15 pre-professional programs, Hastings College has been named among “Great Schools, Great Prices” by U.S. News & World Report and a “Best in the Midwest” by The Princeton Review.
