At Hastings College, Dr. Barbara Sunderman has had the privilege of helping Education majors work toward their ultimate goal of becoming teachers. She teaches these majors courses in Math Methods, Children’s Literature, Classroom Management and her personal favorite: Educational Assessment. Early Childhood majors take their methods and characteristics courses from her as well. Supervision of practicum students and overseeing seniors’ "Student Learning Project" keeps her grounded in current K-12 practice.
Active on many faculty committees, Dr. Sunderman currently serves as Vice President of the Faculty Senate.
