Marshall Highet is a teacher and writer with three published novels. Spare Parts – a Young Adult sci-fi novel – was published in 2014 and has an educational bent. Hold Fast, written with Bird Jones, is a swashbuckling adventure with historical facts holding it up. Their latest collaboration came out in February of 2022; Blue-Eyed Slave is also historical fiction, and won the 2022 Firebird Award.
Currently at Hastings College, Highet teaches an array of courses from Creative Writing to Academic Writing to News Writing Fundamentals.
