Cathy (Dillon) Peetz ’80

A 1980 graduate of Hastings College, Cathy (Dillon) Peetz is currently the head buyer of apparel and safety gear for Dillon Brothers Harley Davidson, which is part of the Dillon family businesses that includes three motorcycle stores and 12 car dealerships in the Omaha area.

She majored in art and her first job upon graduation was as a graphic artist and illustrator in the advertising department of Mangelson’s, a large art and hobby supply store in Omaha. She then became a buyer and merchandiser for Richman Gordman 1/2 Price Stores. After tiring of the monthly buying trips and extensive traveling to the various stores for merchandising, Cathy joined her father’s business, Sid Dillon Chevrolet. As part of learning the family business, she ordered parts in the parts department, but her love of art and fashion eventually led her to designing bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses for the nationally known JP Originals, a job she held until she decided to stay home and raise her family.

Cathy has served on the board of directors for Ronald McDonald House in Omaha and Creighton University’s Jaybacker Executive Athletic Board.

Cathy and her husband Dwaine, a retired cardiac surgeon, live in Omaha, and their combined families include five children and ten grandchildren.
