History with Hastings College
I graduated from Hastings College in Spring of 2018 with a BA in Exercise Science. I spent three years as a Resident Assistant in the dorms/apartments and one year as a tour guide. I was on the varsity wrestling team for my first two years as a Bronco then I picked up glassblowing and became very involved in the Art Department.
Hobbies and Interests
I love to read in the Fantasy genre (Lord of The Rings, Game of Thrones, The Inheritance Cycle) as well as ride my bike along the bike path, blow glass in the state-of-the-art Jackson Dinsdale Art Center or play billiards with friends.
Favorite thing about Hastings College
While we are a small school as far as population is concerned, our campus is spread out and beautiful. When I was a student, I would take late night bike/scooter rides around campus.
Favorite thing to do in Hastings
Find a nice spot at Heartwell Park or Lake Hastings to read a book or drop a line and fish for an afternoon.
Favorite place to eat in Hastings
Kitties’ Roadhouse has fantastic burgers, pizza, and the best sweet potato fries I’ve ever had.
Although I spent four years earning my degree in Exercise Science, I will spend hours in the Glass studio making bowls, vases and even swords. A talent I never would have expected but only discovered through opportunities at Hastings College.
Best meal I can cook
I learned from my father that a big and fluffy pancake is the way to go. I like to add fruit as well to create the illusion that i’m being somewhat healthy.
