  • Amy Nelson lives in Axtell, Nebraska. (Submitted 9/26/16)
  • Steve and Angel Zayaz live in Parker, Colorado.  Steve works in information technology for AvalonBay Communities and is back in a band playing drums after more than a decade.  Steve and Angel have two daughters, Ryann (9) and Reese (6) (pictured).  Steve reported that his mother, Karen (Gard) Zayaz '61, is seriously ill, and he wanted to honor one of her final wishes by sharing Ryann and Reese's photo taken with Bosco the Bronco during the 2016 Hastings College Homecoming festivities.   • Mark Lewis lives in Houston, Texas, where he has been the production manager/technical director for the A.D. Players Theater for almost 20 years. After many years of planning, the A.D. Players Theater recently completed construction on its brand new 440-seat theater (pictured), of which Mark has had the privilege of working with the architects and consultants. The theater opened February 11, 2017, with the production of "To Kill A Mockingbird." Mark was selected to design the scenery for the inaugural production. (Submitted 3/22/17) 
  • Francisco "Paco" and Mary (Larson) '82 Diaz live in Leawood, Kansas.  Paco is the Chief Compliance Officer for Unitas Global, and Mary is Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for Two West.  They have one son, Ryan. (Submitted 9/21/16)
  • Steven and Karrie (Danielson) '99 Lincoln live in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  After spending 10 years at Purdue University in a marketing/communications capacity, Steven accepted a new position as assistant director of communications for the US Air Force Academy Endowment in Colorado Springs.  Karrie completed a bachelor's degree in dietetics at Purdue University in May 2016 and looks forward to starting her career as a registered dietitian.   • Josh and Karenna (Gausman) '00 Awtry have relocated to the Washington, D.C. area where Josh has accepted a position as Senior Director for News Strategy for Gannett and the USA TODAY Network. (Submitted 6/30/16)

  • Michael Tushaus (pictured) lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Michael is the Director/Cinematographer/Composer for Digisphere Productions, and recently received his seventh and eighth Regional Emmy nominations for work in his most recent commercial campaign for his parents' bookstore, Prairie Books & Gifts, in Hastings, Nebraska. Michael's father, Bernie, who taught at Hastings College for 25 years and sold books for Prairie Books & Gifts for four decades, passed away in October 2015 from brain cancer, but was able to be a part of the commercial campaign just weeks prior to his passing.  Michael also remains busy with his acting career.   • Holly (Hoe) and William Auten live in Livermore, California.  Holly is a Technical Editor/Writer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. (Submitted 9/26/16)

  • Oleg Kalinskiy of Moscow, Russia, was recently appointed as head of government relations at URALKALI, the world's largest producer and distributor of potash. Oleg's responsibilities include corporate affairs and government relations of the company on the federal, regional, and local levels, as well as corporate social responsibility agenda.   • Greg and Robyn (Throckmorton) '97 Mason of Lincoln, Nebraska, are excited to announce the birth of their twin daughters, Piper Jeanne and Jemma Lynne (pictured), on December 12, 2016. Piper and Jemma were born nine weeks early and spent four weeks in the NICU; Robyn reports they are now home and doing great. (Submitted 1/10/17)

  • Joe and Jill (Cumpston) '99 Sandmeier live in Aurora, Nebraska.  Their family has been blessed with the adoption of a daughter, Sarah Olivia, born July 12, 2016. (Submitted 9/25/16)
  • Brandi (Nichols) and Rick Lanham (pictured) live in Nashville, Tennessee.  Brandi and Rick were married September 11, 2016 at the Wild Turkey Ranch in Lebanon, Tennessee; Rick's seven-year old son, Caleb, joined in the celebration.  Brandi is employed at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in the Graduate Medical Education department and is also pursuing a songwriting career in Music City.
