  • Doug Stowe of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, recently celebrated his 40th year as a professional woodworker with the release of three new woodworking books: Build 25 Beautiful BoxesTiny Boxes, and Making Classic Toys that Teach. Additionally, Doug teaches woodworking for grades 1-12 at Clear Springs School in Eureka Springs; during the summer months and on weekends, he teaches adults at various craft schools and woodworking clubs throughout the United States, and is a founder of the Eureka Springs School of the Arts.   • Judy (Redies) Uerling see Brian Uerling '79

  • Rev. Dr. Jimmy and Carol Shelbourn live in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Jimmy retired after 31 years of service as Pastor of First Presbyterian Church in Beatrice, Nebraska, and is now a part-time Parish Associate at Westminster Church in Lincoln. (Submitted 9/26/16)
  • Dr. Stephen and Stephanie (Tolliver) '78 Stripe live in Minot, North Dakota.  Stephen has been promoted to Program Director of the Family Medicine Residency at the University of North Dakota in Minot. (Submitted 9/27/16)
  • Nadine (Mortenson) and James Walker live in Raymore, Missouri. Nadine is retired, and Jim has been a chaplain on Holland-America since 2003. Together, they have visited 142 countries to date. Nadine and Jim have four sons (all Hastings College graduates), Steven '79, David '80, Bradley '84, and Scott '88. Of Nadine and Jim's nine grandchildren, three granddaughters are Hastings College graduates. Tessa (Walker) Hanson '05 teaches German and lives in Omaha, Nebraska; Lauren (Walker) Tebbe '08 is a liaison at Shawnee Medical Center and lives in Olathe, Kansas; Sierra Walker '15 is a student at Georgetown Law School in Washington, D.C., and will be married this coming August in Omaha.  Another granddaughter, Savannah, is a current student at Hastings College. The couple also have six great-grandchildren. (Submitted 3/29/17)
  • Ellen Shively lives in Omaha, Nebraska, where she is a self-employed graphic designer. (Submitted 3/30/17)
  • Julie (Gerhart) and Peter Skeffington live in Loveland, Colorado.  Julie is a patient coordinator for Stowers Orthodontics.  Julie and Peter have three children: Jim, Anne Marie and husband Scott Disney, who were married in August 2016, and Hillary. (Submitted 4/25/17)
  • Barbara Yarnell lives in Los Alamos, New Mexico.  Barbara is a professor and department chair at the University of New Mexico - Los Alamos branch.  She has one son, Eric, and two grandchildren, Kaiya and Keelan. (Submitted 5/2/17)
  • Jeanniene (Bradley) Hunter lives in San Antonio, Texas.  Jeanniene is a retired teacher and has one daughter: Tina Meree, five grandchildren: Mickayla, R.J., Shaena, Tiana, and Colton, and six great-grandchildren: Bradley, Bentley, Ryan, Sophia, Jeremiah, and Jonathan. (Submitted 5/9/17)

  • Dr. Lorrie (Aubert) and Sam Bryant live in Lincoln, Nebraska.  Lorrie retired from her full-time clinical child therapy practice at the end of 2015 and continues to complete occasional psychological evaluations and work part-time managing the business side of Sam's plastic surgery office.  Lorrie also enjoys spending more time with her grandchildren and playing with their new Manchester Terrier puppy, Tilly, and reports that her days are much more relaxed!   • Commander Robert and Lisa McDowell live in Green Cove Springs, Florida.  Bob retired after 22 years as a civil engineer corps officer in the Navy and now works works as a civilian for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast as director of real estate. (Submitted 10/1/16)

  • Janice Wagner lives in Aurora, Nebraska.  Janice retired on September 30, 2016, after a 27-year career with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. (Submitted 9/30/16)
  • Shaun (Aftonomos) and Joe James live in Omaha, Nebraska.  Shaun is an attorney with the firm of Smith, Slusky, Pohren & Rogers, L.L.P. in Omaha, where her focus is on real estate transactions, property valuations, and small businesses.  Shaun received the 2015 Nebraska Humane Society's Volunteer of the Year award for 10-plus years of volunteer services in the animal medical department.  Shaun and Joe have three children, Daniel (30), Alex (27), and Katie (25), and one grandson, Logan (3).   • Stuart and Ginger Workman live in Enterprise, Kansas, and are foster/adoptive parents to five children.  Stuart is retiring after a successful 28-year teaching career as lead middle school teacher and high school assistant for band at Junction City, Kansas.  The band performs during bowl games every other year and will play at the White House on July 4, 2017.  In addition, Stuart has sung in and directed a local Presbyterian choir and recently was the lead in "Fiddler" and the Ghost of Christmas present in "The Christmas Carol" at the Junction City Little Theatre.   • Brian and Judy (Redies) '73 Uerling live in Clovis, New Mexico.  Brian reports he will be playing the organ for the Eastern New Mexico University Choir in the Notre Dame, Chartres, and St. Paul's Cathedrals during the choir's upcoming tours of Paris and London. (Submitted 5/3/17)
