Communication honorary inducts six new members

Hastings College’s Phi Omega Chapter of Lambda Pi Eta communication honorary started in 2007 and has grown steadily on campus. In 2012 and 2015, it received the Outstanding National Chapter Award.

Recently, Phi Omega-Lambda Pi Eta inducted six new members worthy of recognition for their academic achievements in communication studies. The inductees are as follows:

Ashten Hernandez from North Platte, Nebraska

Alexa Hernandez from North Platte, Nebraska

Rachel Mulholland from Wahoo, Nebraska

Local Lambda Pi Eta chapter earns national recognition

For the second time in five years, Hastings College’s Phi Omega Chapter of Lambda Pi Eta has earned the Chapter of the Year Award. In addition to the 2015 Chapter of the Year Award, the College’s chapter garnered the honor in 2012.

Lambda Pi Eta, the national honorary for students who are dedicated to the study of human communication, has more than 450 active chapters throughout the United States. The award will be presented at the National Communication Association Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 21, 2015.
