Dr. Judy Hall

Professor of Teacher Education
Hurley-McDonald #204

Greetings!  I'm Judy Hall and I'm in my eighth year of teaching at Hastings College after many years of working as an English teacher and Special Education teacher.
I worked in the public schools in seven different states during the thirty years before I came to Hastings College. One of the best parts of my job at Hastings College is teaching the Introduction to Special Education course where I get to become acquainted with every student who is majoring in education at Hastings College! I also teach course work each semester for juniors, seniors and MAT students who are majoring in special education or who are seeking dual endorsement in elementary education and special education. Many of my students are involved in service learning as a part of their requirements for the Introduction to Special Education or Communication, Consultation and Collaborative Partnerships courses. This involves their working with students who are at-risk or who have special needs in our schools or in the community. Another special part of my job is serving as the advisor for the Hastings College chapter of the Student Education Association of Nebraska.
