CONCERNING OUR RERUM SCRIPTOR AUTHORS

 

            CLAIRE JACKSON NOYES, who served as a teacher of French an as Acting Head of the Department from 1925-1937, assuming a position as a teach of French at Queen’s College in New York City in 1938, held a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Adelphi University (1919), and pursued advanced study of French culture and literature at the University of Paris during the academic years 1936-37.

            Mrs. Noyes, formerly the wife of Professor Frank Noyes (Orchestral Director and Head of the String Department at Hastings College from 1925 to 1936), having spent a year in Paris, a city for which she had a genuine interest and affection, was well equipped to write concerning Paris as the cultural and mecca of the 1920s and 1930s.

 

PATRICIA REDMAN FULLER graduated from Hastings College with High Honors and a Bachelor of Music Degree in 1965.  After completing an MBA Degree in 1974, she joined the National Science Foundation as an analyst.  Currently, she occupies the position of Developments Coordinator of that Foundation.
