Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer
Job Description:
Hastings College is currently accepting applications for one graduate assistant athletic training position. This candidate will assist with the planning, organization, coordination, and management of proper health care to intercollegiate student-athletes. This includes, but is not limited to assisting in the operation of the athletic training facility, facilitating prevention programs, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries. The Graduate Assistant will serve as the primary athletic trainer for the team(s) they are assigned to and will be responsible for all medical coverage for these teams. Responsibilities with assigned teams will include, but is not limited to event coverage, traveling with assigned athletic team(s), coverage during times when school may not be in session, and other duties assigned by the athletic training staff. This position is a 10 month appointment that can be renewed for a second year.
Job Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in athletic training or related field from CAATE-accredited program Completion of the BOC exam or eligible Nebraska State Licensure or eligible Acceptance into Master’s Program at Hastings College Benefits: Full tuition waiver and a stipend. Contract can be renewed for a second year.
