Men's Basketball Head Coach

HEAD MEN’S BASKETBALL COACH
HASTINGS COLLEGE

Hastings College seeks qualified applicants for the position of Head Men’s Basketball Coach. This is a ten month, full-time, non-tenure track position.

A Master’s Degree is preferred as well as successful coaching, teaching and recruiting experience. The Head Men’s Basketball Coach will report to the Athletic Director and will be responsible for all aspects of a collegiate basketball program including, but not limited to team travel, scheduling, budgeting, recruiting and compliance with GPAC and NAIA rules and regulations. The successful candidate will demonstrate commitment to the educational values of sport and to the mission of a private, liberal arts education. Responsibilities for this position will also include teaching courses as assigned by the Chair of the Physical Education Department.

Hastings College is a member of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), and boasts of having one of the finest basketball facilities in the Midwest in the Lynn Farrell Arena. The Hastings College basketball program has experienced success in both conference and national play over the past decade, and has a long standing history of having outstanding teams through the years.

THE COLLEGE

Founded in 1882, Hastings College is an independent, co-educational, Presbyterian-related, national liberal arts college with an enrollment of approximately 1200 students. The student/faculty ratio is 13/1. The median ACT score of entering students is about 24.

THE COMMUNITY

Hastings (Population 25,370) is an attractive, residential community in South-Central Nebraska, 100 miles west of Lincoln and 15 minutes south of Interstate 80. The city enjoys good public and private schools, offers excellent professional and community services and serves as the cultural center for a large surrounding area.
