The Hastings College Summer program provides the opportunity to earn additional college credit towards a degree or just for your own education. Summer term offerings at both the undergraduate and graduate level will be posted here. Additional offerings may become available throughout the summer.
Undergraduate Registration for Summer Class:
To register for a class, current Hastings College students should visit with their advisor to complete a yellow registration sheet. Completed forms should be brought to the Registrar's Office for official enrollment. Those not currently a student at HC should contact the Admissions office to begin the undergraduate registration process.
Graduate Registration for Summer Class:
New students interested in the MAT program, should start the registration process by completing the graduate application. Current MAT students should visit with their advisor to complete a yellow registration sheet. Completed forms should be brought to the Registrar's Office for official enrollment.
Graduate Workshop (ED 588 or ED 589) Registration:
Hastings College is pleased to again be working with area ESUs and others to offer a number of summer workshop for education professionals. These workshops focus on a variety of popular and new topics and are eligible for college credit. Pre-registration for all workshops is required by contacting the hosting ESU (or institution) listed in the "Instr" column of the graduate summer schedule. For college credit, registration and full payment will be completed on-site just prior to the first workshop session. Checks should be made payable to Hastings College. Credit cards are not accepted at this time. Additional questions about workshop content should be directed to the hosting ESU.
Summer Course Offerings and Cost:
Use the links below to view the undergraduate and graduate schedules for a complete listing of summer course offerings and dates. Summer tuition for 2013 is $290 per credit hour for undergraduate courses. Graduate courses (500 level or above) cost $170 per credit hour.
Summer Registration Dates and Deadlines (does not apply to ED 588 or ED 589 workshops):
Hastings College now offers two summer sessions with each running six weeks in length. However, dates and times listed may vary according to the course format. Check with the course instructor prior to registration. Many courses are offered at arranged times or have extended meeting times on specific dates. You should confirm meeting dates/times with the instructor prior to registration.
Students may register for either of the 2013 summer term beginning Monday, March 11.
Summer Session I:
May 22 - July 5, 2013
Students may register for the summer term beginning Monday, March 11.
Last day to add a 6-week course is Thursday, May 24 at 5:00 pm.
Last day to drop a 6-week course with no notation is Friday, May 31 at 5:00 pm.
Last day to drop a course with a “W” is Tuesday, June 11 at 5:00 pm.
Summer Session 2:
July 10 - August 14, 2013
Students may register for the summer term beginning Monday, March 11.
Last day to add a 6-week course is Friday July 12 at 5:00 pm.
Last day to drop a 6-week course with no notation is Friday July 19 at 5:00 pm.
Last day to drop a course with a “W” is Tuesday, July 30 at 5:00 pm.
