First-Year Students Class and Service Project

Location TBA

The morning’s activities are mandatory for all first-year students. Transfer students and non–traditional students do not attend these activities. This is the first meeting of your STS130 Bridges class. You will need to know the name of your Bridges instructor (see your class schedule) so you can sit with the instructor and other members of your class in the chapel. Members of the admissions staff will have class lists and will help locate your group.

After a brief assembly, you, your classmates and instructor will walk or travel to your service project site. Do not bring backpacks or purses to this class, since they are a problem to manage during the service project time. This is a fun experience that has received high praise over the years. Turn down your cell phone, leave your iPod behind, bring a positive attitude and you'll make some great memories!
