I graduated in 2006 along with my husband. My sister (’08) and brother-in-law (’09) also graduated from Hastings College. I came back to work for Hastings College in 2012.
I was looking for a school that could give me many opportunities to be successful but small enough where the professors could be more than just someone who lectured in class.
I am a huge baseball fan. My heart is with the Atlanta Braves. I also love to play softball even if I am not that great. I love my cat, Parker. He isn’t a typical cat. He loves to play fetch.
I love the family feel that HC has. I have made friends here who will last a lifetime.
My favorite place as a student was in the computer lab in the Gray Center. My favorite place now is outside on campus during the spring and fall. The trees make this campus one of the most beautiful places on earth.
At the time, it wasn’t really a class, but I'll never forget when the media department took the first trip to the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball National Championship. We broadcasted the women’s basketball games over internet. It marked the first time we did a remote webcast from off-campus. It was a great learning experience in the world of sports broadcasting. I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Meeting up with friends just to hang out. Great company is best way to spend free time.
I love going to Kitty’s. They have the best BBQ Chicken pizza.
The connections I have made with people from HC is the best thing about being a Bronco.
The best meal is when I watch my husband grill ribs. I am a horrible cook. No one should suffer due to my cooking.
