While at Hastings College I received degrees in Psychology and History. After graduation I will pursue a Master's degree in Counseling at Fort Hays State in Kansas. Though my future career is not directly related to History, the HC History department has helped me develop both intellectually and personally. Courses I have taken in the History department have encouraged me to use tools such as critical thinking, finding supporting evidence, participation, and to think for myself. Even without pursuing a career in History, these tools are invaluable and can be applied in any field or life event. Participating in History at HC is a great experience that allows you to develop as a person and is beneficial whether or not you plan on pursuing a future career in the field.
