Dr. Watter, Professor of Music, teaches studio voice, diction classes, and vocal pedagogy. Before joining Hastings College in 1990, Dr. Watter taught voice at Missouri Western State College in St. Joseph.
She earned a Bachelor's degree at the University of Maryland, a Master's from the Eastman School of Music and Doctorate at University of Kansas, and has also studied at the Vanderbilt Voice Research Center. Dr. Watter was one of twelve young teachers selected to participate in the 1993 Summer Intern Program sponsored by the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
