An inductee into the Nebraska Music Educators Hall of Fame, Dr. Johnson is the recipient of the NSBA Outstanding Bandmasters Award. An Associate Professor of Music, Johnson taught at Hastings College for 33 years before retiring in 2000. Before joining the faculty, Johnson taught music in Nebraska public schools for 14 years. Mr. Johnson now serves as the Archivist and Historian for both the Nebraska Music Educators Association and the Nebraska State Bandmasters Association. Dr. Johnson earned a Bachelor's Degree at Hastings College and a Master's Degree at Chadron State College.
