HC’s chapter of Lambda Pi Eta communications honorary named “Chapter of the Year”
National Communication Association (NCA) has recognized Hastings College’s Phi Omega chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the communications honorary, as Chapter of the Year. From among more than 500 current chapters across the nation, Phi Omega was selected for exemplifying the goals of LPH: scholastic achievement in communication studies, stimulating interest in the field, encouraging professional development among communication majors, providing an opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas, maintaining closer relations between faculty and staff, and exploring graduate education options in communication studies.
NCA also named LPH's faculty advisor at Hastings College, Dr. John Perlich, as the Thomas L. Veenendall Advisor of the Year. This honor recognizes those who have "best manifested the goals of Lambda Pi Eta."
