Curt Casper qualifies for historic national tournament
Senior Curt Casper took 1st place in Oratory (Persuasive Speaking) at the Nebraska Interstate Forensics Association (NIFA) State Tournament. The top two Oratories in each state qualify for the Interstate Oratory National Tournament. Casper will be competing in the tournament that is held at George Mason University in Virginia the weekend of April 24th. This is the oldest speaking tournament in the nation, dating back to the early 1900s. William Jennings Bryan is among those who have represented Nebraska in the tournament’s history.
