Trevor Brass earns Kevin Heineman Pentathlon Award
During the Nebraska Intercollegiate Forensics Association Tournament (NIFA) on Feb. 17-18, Trevor Brass, a junior from Lincoln, Neb., achieved an accomplishment that has not been earned by a Hastings College student since 2000. Trevor competed in five forensics events and placed in four of them, thus earning the Kevin Heineman Pentathlon Award. Trevor earned the award and the tournament championship by placing 1st in impromptu speaking, 1st in parliamentary debate with fellow HC student Aaron Geringer, 3rd in oratory and 4th in extemporaneous speaking.
The Kevin Heineman Pentathlon Award posthumously honors of the former Hastings College Forensics Director.
