The Hastings College Department of Music was recently honored by the Nebraska Music Educators Association (NMEA) at their annual banquet held in conjunction with the state clinic/conference, November 17th. Honored with the NMEA Distinguished Service Award, the Department of Music was cited for their long-standing tradition of support for NMEA. Rex Barker, president of NMEA, stated, “this tradition speaks volumes about how and where you believe your college should be involved to promote what we do for the music teachers and students in the state of Nebraska. All of this has been volunteered with a truly positive and sincere attitude”.
