Harvard High School math teams dominate Hastings College Math Invite

(Hastings, Neb.) –  Teams from Harvard (Neb.) High School competed head-to-head for the quiz bowl championship during the 16th annual Hastings College Math Invite, held Thursday, March 15, 2012, at the College’s Wilson Mathematics and Computer Science Center.

Harvard High School Team 1, comprised of Austin Uden, Paden Derr and Mikayla Novak, prevailed over Harvard High School Team 2.  Members of HHS Team 2 include Douglas Johnson, Alyssa Novak and Alfonso Maciel.

Individual test results from the event are as follows:
1st: Hailey Hemenway, Hastings High School
2nd: Elizabeth Montemaya, Hastings High School
3rd: Will Reimer, Hastings High School
4th: Stef Perez, Silver Lake High School
5th: Christin Albright, Ravenna High School
6th: Kelli Poplau, Hastings High School
7th: Rachel Halbmaier, Kenesaw High School
8th: Rebekah Uden, Kenesaw High School
9th: Annie Wickham, Silver Lake High School
10th: Michael Steele, Ravenna High School
