Hastings College Chapel Schedule for March 2012

(Hastings, Neb.) – Each Wednesday at 10 a.m., members of the Hastings College community meet in French Memorial Chapel (800 N. Turner Ave.) for voluntary chapel services. These services are open to the larger public and free.  


The March 2012 schedule includes the following:


Mar. 7        Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. Worship – The Rev. Jane Ellefson and Hastings College’s Ghanaian students and faculty.

Join us as we celebrate the heritage of Ghana, whose Independence Day is March 6.   The Rev. Jane Ellefson taught music at the Peki Seminary in Ghana for many years.

Mar. 14    Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. Worship – Celebrating Women’s History Month
Student-led service with Sigma Alpha Iota (SAI) singing


Students from the Chapel Committee will lead this year’s celebration of Women’s History Month, and the women of SAI musical honorary will sing.

Mar 28    Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. Worship – The Rev. Trina Johnsten with the HC Singers

 

Born and raised in Great Falls, Mont., Trina is a graduate of St. Olaf College (Minn.) and Wartburg Theological Seminary (Iowa). For nine years she worked in enrollment management before she entered seminary. She has served as a chaplain for a Lutheran retirement community in Pennsylvania and served churches in Pennsylvania and California. She is married to Dennis Trotter, President of Hastings College.
