Mayson to join Hastings College Bronco Football coaching staff

(Hastings, Neb.) –  Following the departure of Kyle Westphal to a coaching position at the University of Central Missouri, HC Bronco Football Head Coach Tony Harper is pleased to announce the hiring Rich Mayson. Coach Mayson was previously the offensive coordinator for MacMurray College (Ill.).

“Rich shares our program’s core values:  faith, family, education and football,” Harper said.  “During the past season, we split the offensive coordination duties between two coaches.  To hire someone with Rich’s experience and knowledge really solidifies our coaching foundation.”

A native of Mexico, Mo., Mayson played wide receiver and tight end for the Truman State University Bulldogs and served as team captain in 2005 and 2006. In addition to his season with the Highlanders, his resume also includes stints at Northwest Missouri State, where he coached wide receivers, and Montana Tech, where he coached wide receivers and tight ends. While at Montana Tech, he also served as Sports Information Director (SID).

Mayson and his wife, Kristin, have a daughter, Jordin.
