Cartoonist Hall’s works on exhibit at Hastings College

(Hastings, Neb.) – Several complete works by cartoonist and graphic novelist Bob Hall will be on display at the Hastings College Art Gallery (710 N. Turner Ave.) The exhibit, which also will feature cartoons and illustrations from his extensive art collection, will run from January 8-24, 2012. The opening reception is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 8 from 2-3 p.m. in the gallery. This event and the exhibit will be free and open to the public.
During Hastings College’s J-Term, Hall is serving as Distinguished Visiting Professor in the Hastings College Art Department and teaching “Comic and Graphic Novel Storytelling and Illustration.” He is widely published and has a long association with Marvel Comics. Hall has published issues of Batman, Spiderman, Thor and many other Marvel series characters. Since the 1990s, he has written and drawn graphic novels.
Hall also serves as Artistic Director of the Flatwater Shakespeare Company in Lincoln, Neb.
Hastings College, founded in 1882, is a private, four-year liberal arts institution affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA). A total of 64 majors in 32 areas of study and 12 pre-professional programs are offered to more than 1,150 students.
